We have received feedback that some merchants in Britain & France no longer accept Visa Cards that are not microchip enabled.

Our credit card supplier is currently developing such a card, however in the interim we STRONGLY advise any member travelling to these countries to also take a supply of foreign cash and/or travellers cheques.

Cash Passport

Cash Passport is a pre-paid, PIN-protected card that enables you to obtain local currency from over 800,000 VISA ATM's around the world. Cash Passport is issued by Travelex.

Traveller's Cheques*

New England Credit Union provides travellers cheques in a range of currencies. Travellers cheques are widely accepted overseas, and are a non-cash payment facility that can easily be replaced if lost or stolen provided you comply with the purchase conditions.

Foreign Cash*

Travelex offer a choice of 35 foreign currencies to assist you with your travels.

Drafts* and Electronic Transfers

Overseas drafts and electronic transfers of funds overseas can be made.
