Kate James

A member of the Hunter Mutual Board for two years prior to the merger with New England Credit Union, Kate has extensive experience in corporate governance. She has participated in a number of Agriculture and Government related consultative committees and is a current trustee of the Coal and Allied Community Trust.

As a small business person and management consultant she is well aware of the unique challenges that face small businesses, particularly in regional and rural areas.

Mr Graham Goodman

Graham has a diverse background in business, having experience in taxation, auditing and accounting positions within the public sector. He has prior Board experience, having served on the Board of Peel Valley Credit Union for nine years. Key responsibilities include Member of Audit and Risk Committee.

Mr David Honner

As the former Chairman of the Orana Credit Union Board, David brings a wealth of Credit Union industry experience to the Board. He is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Mr John O'Connor

John has extensive experience in local government engineering and management. Prior to joining the Board of New England Credit Union, John served on the Board of Peel Valley Credit Union for 30 years, with seven years as Chairman. Dr Alison Sheridan

Alison has extensive experience in education and consulting activities in management. Key responsibilities include Chair of Audit and Risk Committee.

Geoffrey Thompson

Geoff joined the Board of New England Credit Union Ltd following the merger with Hunter Mutual in 2010. He is a partner in a successful Accounting firm and has significant experience in providing specialised business advice to some of the Hunter Valley’s most significant businesses. He is also actively involved in the Maitland Business Chamber
